Entering club events

For everyone who adds events to the club's Google Calendar. Two minutes here saves members a wasted trip.

The Google Calendar is the only place events are entered. Within about 10 minutes everything else follows from it: the calendar on lprgc.org, the Events menu and sidebar on every page, the kiosk in the clubhouse, members' subscribed phone calendars, the road gates, and the range-usage stats. So what you type, and the colour you pick, matter.

1. The colour: Grape means open to the public

2. The title

3. The location: name the range

The location decides the map on the event and which range the stats count as booked (so members aren't sent to a busy range at a "quiet" hour). Use one of these names exactly; anything else may be reported as range not known.

Checking your work

Every Monday a list of entries worth a second look is emailed (missing or unknown locations, colour vs title, duplicates, repeats about to end, classes with no sign-up link). The same list, any time: Calendar entries to check.
