We have a 100 yard range with 10 firing points bordered on both sides by high earthen berms, so wind is rarely a factor. We currently shoot on paper, however the Club is in the process of procuring electronic targets to shoot on.

Time: Signup time is 8:00AM, with first shots at 8:30AM
Location: The address of the Lower Providence Club (LPRGC) is: 2857 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA, 19407. The location of the 100 Yard Range is B1.

All range commands are provided by former CMP competitors and RSOs with many years of experience calling the Match, so come join us for a great shoot!
Number of Firing Points: We have 10 firing points

LPRGC Non-Sanctioned CMP Shoot
LPRGC Non-Sanctioned CMP Shoot
September 5, 2026 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
2857 Egypt Rd, Audubon, PA 19407, USA, Location B1
The Shoot:
The LPRGC Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has regular shoots on the 1st Saturday of each Month at the our Club. The address for the Club is 2857 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA, 19403. Plan on arriving at 9:30AM for registration, training (new shooters), and setting up the targets. Please report to the Shed (the large building behind the firing line) to register for the shoot. First shots will be around 10:00AM, and the shoot usually finishes around 12:00 PM. No experience is required for this shoot, and there will be experienced shooters on hand to help you get comfortable and have some fun.
NOTE: Please be advised that when you arrive at 9:30AM a Sanctioned CMP Match will likely be in progress- feel free to watch that Match, but please keep conversations well away from the firing line. Believe it or not, even through ear protection they can hear you, and it's very distracting!
You can use any Military rifle, such as the AR-15, M1 Garand, Carbine, or M-14. If you do not have one, you can be provided with a loaner rifle (you must shoot the Club ammunition in the loaner rifles). We have AR-15's, Garands, and M1 Carbines available for loan for the shoot. All targets and other necessities will be provided by the Club at the shoot. That said, please bring your own eye and ear protection- we have a limited amount on hand, so there is no guarantee we will be able to supply them for you.
The Course of Fire is:
- 10 shots for sighters (single load, single fire in the prone position)
- 10 shots off hand (single load, single fire in the standing position)
- 10 shots sitting (10 shots in 63 seconds in the seated position)
- 10 shots prone (10 shots in 73 seconds in the prone position)
- 20 shots prone (single load, single fire in the prone position)
Location: Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club- 2857 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA, 19403. We shoot on the 100 yard range at Location B1, which is close to the Pinetown Road entrance to the Club.
Time: 9:30AM in the Shed for registration, first shots around 10:00AM
Cost: All juniors (18 and under) shoot for free. The cost for the shoot is $20.00. Adults may purchase 60 rounds of .30-’06, .223, or .30 carbine for $40.00 that must be shot at the match- we do not sell ammunition for “take away” from the event. Please keep in mind that you must use our ammunition in the loaner rifles.
Who Can Attend: Anyone with a desire to improve their shooting skills- this shoot is open to the Public!
We encourage both inexperienced and experienced shooters to come and join us for an enjoyable and safe shooting experience. We are here to sharpen your shooting skills, provide you with a fun and safe shooting experience, and introduce you to the sport of High Power Shooting. Come on out and have a great day shooting!
For Questions, please contact: Dave Horvath (CMP@LPRGC.org) or Mark Harvill (Rifle@LPRGC.org)
