Clubhouse Expansion Project

We are in the CONSTRUCTION stage of the clubhouse expansion, along with a new indoor pistol range.

Reopening Notice:
We will be re-opening the clubhouse on June 7th! The general membership meeting will also be past presidents night, featuring a catered dinner and a celebration of the completion of the new clubhouse.

May 2016 Update:
Construction is moving along, and there’s light at the end of the tunnel! There will be occasional road closures to the Egypt Road entrance due to the installation of a new gas line. Please use the Pinetown road entrance if you see construction at the Egypt entrance.

January 2016 Update:
The indoor range is open! You need to enter the range using the side doors near the garages. The badge system has been moved to the side door, and additional lighting has been installed for your convenience.

Sign-in books have been placed at each range. You no longer need to sign in at the clubhouse. Please be sure to complete guest waivers at each range if necessary.

Please stay away from the actual construction area. During the day workmen will be driving trucks and going in and out of the site. It is NOT permitted for members to enter the site or interfere with the work in progress. Please do not park near the front entrance as they need to be able to get vehicles and equipment through that area.

December 2015 Update:
We’re finally ready to start! The clubhouse will be closed as of Monday December 7 for renovation. The indoor range will be closed from November 28 – December 13 for the installation of a new backstop. The website and club calendar will reflect the closures and re-routing of paths to the indoor range. Please check the website regularly for updates.

March 2015 Update:
The clubhouse expansion committee has completed the bidding process with three contractors. On March 3rd the committee met with the board and made a recommendation on our best path forward on the construction of the new indoor range and expanded clubhouse. At the general membership meeting on Tuesday March 10th we will be hearing from the committee on their recommendations and will vote on a decision to move forward with the project.

January 2015 Update:
We have received our full set of bid plans for the expansion project. We will be interviewing contractors for the bidding process in the next few weeks in order to get our budgetary numbers. Any interested contractors should contact Bill Cassidy. We are meeting with the backstop company to get suggestions for the final design of the backstop system. We have met with the bank and our treasurer is in the process of securing financing options. Once the bids are in from the contractors we will bring a plan to the membership for final approval.

June 2014 Update:
At the general membership meeting on April 1 2014 the membership voted to move forward with architectural and engineering drawings for this project. Once the drawings are complete, this will allow us to solicit bids from contractors and put together a final proposal for the project.

The current plan is to:

  • Expand the clubhouse on the side facing the Trap fields
  • Renovate the existing portion of the clubhouse
  • Relocate the bathrooms and provide ADA-compliant facilities
  • Build a separate wider indoor range adjacent to the current pistol range
  • Update the building exterior to match the addition
  • Bring the building up to code where necessary (sprinklers, etc)
