The Junior Pistol Program at Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club is offered to the immediate family members of the membership. Note: This means that you must be a club member, and your child needs to be a junior member. It is designed to teach juniors in grades 7 and beyond, firearm safety , the basics of pistol marksmanship, and skills for action pistol competitions. Juniors are introduced to the proper use of basic equipment used in target shooting. Pistols, targets, and all ammunition are provided by the club through the support of club members and the Lower Providence Youth Shooting Sports Association.
Junior Pistol meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings of each month from 6:30PM to 8:00PM , loosely following the school calendars. New student athletes are welcomed into the program each September and January. All new students will complete a classroom session and basic qualification before beginning further skills and drills.
